Cory dominates 7 Novice/Intermediate class in Clash! (Sept. 28th & 29th, 2002)
If you missed the inaugural Clash of the Titans, you missed an unbelievable display of courage and true grit in the 7 Novice/Intermediate class. Lined up against an unbelievable gate of ABA and NBL rockets, Cory knew he had his work cut-out for him this weekend and he knew what he needed to do to come out a winner. He would need to dig deep inside and find that "Cory of old" that was determined to win and determined to come out a champ. Well, he definately dug deep enough and then some. Saturday was total NBL domination as our rocket pulled off wins in all three motos at Hunterdon against some outstanding talent, such as Tyler Guzzi, Justin Banas, Austin Devlin and Alexander Paloucak. But could he duplicate that effort on Sunday on the ABA's home track? You bet! In moto #1 on the Bensalem PA track, our rocket reeled in a 2nd place win right off the bat and felt that a slow gate start was all that stood between him and 1st place. That was corrected in moto #2 when Cory led out of the gate and never looked back to take the win. Then in the Main Event, from lane 8, Cory launched out of the gate in 2nd place and never gave up. He reeled in and passed Justin Banas on the next to the last straight and held on for the Main Event win and the overall 7 Novice/Intermediate Clash Championship. Congratulations Cory on an unbelievable effort and a well deserved 2-day NBL win. A great BIG "Thank You" also goes out to Colin Varanyak. Colin, you're an unbelievable inspiration and a true friend. Words alone cannot show our appreciation for everything you and your family have done for Cory this past year. You're a true champion and a great person with a great big heart, that's on his way to greatness!

Redline has a TRUE CHAMPION in Colin Varanyak! (Sept. 28th & 29th, 2002)
If a true champion is determined in heart more than victories, then Colin Varanyak is on top with the best of 'em. As if helping younger riders during the 2002 season on the race track and with bike setup wasn't enough, Colin stood miles above other champions at the conclusion of the ABA/NBL Clash of the Titans. After a mix-up with the trophying policy cost many riders the chance to bring home a large Clash Championship trophy for winning their respective class, Colin unselfishly decided to pass his Championship trophy on to a younger rider that he felt earned the right to carry home the coveted large cup. That close friend was 7 year old Cory House and you could have seen his smile miles away after receiving it. "I want Cory to have this because I have tons of trophies anyway and I know it'll mean more to him" Colin said as he presented his hard earned trophy to Cory. "This was just another race to me". To say that Cory (and Mom & Dad) were surprised and touched by the unselfish act is an understatement. "To give away his hard-earned trophy the way Colin did to Cory means so much." said Nadine, Cory's mom. "I hope Redline and all of Colin's sponsors see what a true champion Colin is not only on the track, but off. He's certainly one of a kind." Thank You again Colin for making a young rider smile, for all your help in 2002 and for being such a great person.......on and off the track!!

Congratulations on this spectacular accomplishment Cory!

Cory's 7th birthday spent in quiet fashion at CJBMX! (September 15th, 2002)
With an offer from Mom & Dad to do anything and go anywhere for his 7th birthday, what do you think this BMX rocket wanted to do on his big day? Race...of course! Cory passed up an offer to go to Ocean City's arcades, play mini golf or just about anything else he wanted to do on this Sunday afternoon to be with friends as usual and race at CJBMX. And why not......racing is all he craves. Overall it was a quiet day, not many motos and a nice cool day. Cousin Erik was there to share in the fun (sportin' a cool new chest protector by the way!) and Cory raced to a 2nd place finish overall. It's what he loves to do, what he wants to do and what he's good at. So Happy Birthday again from the entire BMX gang!........Hope you had a blast!

After 4500 miles, 8 states, only one big race remains! (September 9th, 2002)
Cory's NBL Regional/National series began 20 weeks ago in Pittsville, Maryland and will come to an end Friday October 11th in Bethel Connecticut. The Northeast Regional Championship race will bring to an end a 24 week series that took Cory over 4500 miles and through 8 different states. This is more traveling for a 6 year old then most of us have done after 20 years. Cory is poised for a top 5 finish overall in the Northeast Region if all goes well in the Championship race, but as many racers will tell you, it's NEVER over until it's over! "Our plan is to go in as usual and race as hard as we can and let the points take care of themselves." says dad Mark. Cory won't get much of a reprieve before running a 2003 national race either. The Yankee National will be Cory's first national event for 2003 and will also be run in Bethel Connecticut on Saturday October 12th and Sunday October 13th. See ya on the track!
