Easter Eve race results from Egg Harbor! (March 30, 2002)
Everyone that showed up for Egg Harbor's Easter Eve night race on Saturday March 30th were treated to an excellent show from the 30+ motos that ran. No Easter egg hunt here, just pure BMX racin' at it's finest! Cory raced to a solid 2nd place in his first and second moto which just about guaranteed him an overall 2nd place finish on the day. The third moto was a real nail-biter with a photo finish bringing everyone to their feet. After leading the entire moto, Cory was reeled in by Micheal Palumbo who made a last minute pass at the line to steal 1st place in the third moto away from Cory. Three 2nd place finishes gave the "Power House" from Hamilton NJ an overall 2nd place for the day and priming him for an awesome season that starts in one week at all other NJ BMX tracks. We'd also like to send our Congratulations out to Victor Behm for his recent move-up to the "Expert" class and a rad display in his new class on Saturday night! Keep it tuned here for all Cory's latest results in 2002! The season starts...NOW!

2 + 4 = 1 at 180 BMX in Pittsville, MD!
(March 23 & 24, 2002)
What happens when you take a 6 Rookie to a Northeast Regional race, combine his class with the 7 Rookies, and unleash him? Well if that 6 year old Rookie is Cory, you end up with a 1st place overall in class! With only two 6 Rookies registered for the first race of the 2002 Northeast Regional series, this class needed to be combined with the 7 year old Rookies. For most riders, being combined upwards is nerve racking, but for Cory, what he didn't know, HELPED him! He raced through the cold wind on Saturday to blow away all but one 7 year old for a solid 2nd place finish in his main. On Sunday, the weather warmed but Cory seemed a bit tired and sluggish for the 8:00am start. He made his main regardless and posted a solid 4th place in Sunday's race. The best part was yet to come for this lit'l guy. Since he raced out-of-class and performed so well, he earned a 1st place overall for his 6 Rookie class! Once again, an AWESOME display by an AWESOME racer! And that's how 2 + 4 = 1.

Two for Two in 2002!
(March 16, 2002)
OK, OK, the 2002 season "technically" doesn't start for us until April, but the weather's been great and Egg Harbor BMX is open and racing on Saturdays! You don't really expect us to keep the lit'l rocket indoors do ya? Two weeks, two great Saturdays weather-wise, with two similar results. Cory's class was a full gate this week with a total of 6 riders, but that didn't deter Cory from winning the hole-shot in motos 1 and 2 and holding on to win each moto. The third moto was a bit of a "bad gate start" and Cory found himself in 4th place coming out of the first turn. One by one he picked off the riders in front of him, moving to 3rd by the second turn and picking up 2nd place going into the third turn, but running out of time and track before the finish line and unable to pick up 1st in the third moto for another "perfect" day. However, with winning the first two motos and placing second in the third, Cory assured himself another 1st place trophy for the day non-the-less and making a solid statement in his bid for the NJ State Series Championship in 2002.

"Perfect" Day at Egg Harbor's Season Opener!
(March 9th, 2002)
The weather wasn't the only thing that was perfect at Egg Harbor's season opener, so was Cory in all three of his motos! We weren't expecting to race on Saturday March 9th at Egg Harbor, especially after just having a day of spring-skiing at Camelback on Friday March 8th, but the 70 degree temperatures and bright sunshine lured us out for the first local race of the 2002 Egg Harbor track series. The first moto was a pass-at-the-line as Cory took the lead less then 5 feet from the finish line creating a "photo finish", but his second and third motos were less of a nail biter with Cory establishing a much wider lead early on and maintaining it to "perfect" on the day by winning all three motos. Perfect racing on a truely perfect day! Way to go Dude!
