Cory

Dothan Alabama Regional results (February 21 & 22, 2004)
Cory traveled up to Dothan AL
February 21 & 22 for the NBL Regional event and left those 'Bama
riders wondering - who was that FL kid on that #8 bike?! He didn't
know very many of the other riders from FL, GA or AL, but he made
a ton of friends this weekend and opened a few eyes. Cory started
the weekend off on Saturday with a 3rd, 2nd and 2nd in his motos and
a 3rd in his Main. On Sunday he improved and finished 1st, 2nd, 1st
in his motos and 4th in his Main. Cory had a pretty stacked class
that included such power riders as Taylor Tillman from GA, Bradley
Carter from Orlando, FL and hometown favorite Cody Corbelli
from AL. There were 9 riders total in the 8 Novice class and there
was not a slow rider in the bunch. The weather held out to be beautiful
with warm temps in the 70s and sunny skys. We made it just in time
as the Monday after we left brought in thunderstorms to the entire
southeast. It was a great weekend for Cory and an awesome start to
what is sure to be a fast
and looooong 2004 season!

Orlando State Qualifier results (January 24 & 25, 2004)
The first FL State Qualifier
for Cory was in a familiar place......Orlando! For 8 years old, Cory
has traveled to Orlando more then many kids we know! Most
of his travels involved visiting Disney, but this weekend was business
as Cory raced in the first FL State Qualifier (which doubled as an
NBL Regional) at the Orlando BMX track. Saturday Cory got off to a
slow start finishing 4th in his first moto but ending up 1st in the
2nd and 3rd motos. Unfortunately, a misque in the first turn of the
Semi allowed the pack around him and sent him home for the day without
making his main. Sunday Cory struggled as he only could muster a 4th,
4th and 5th missing an opportunity to get into the Semi or main. For
the first big weekend for Cory in 2004 in FL, he is adjusting quite
well and performed well, but he wants more..........and with the hard
work and dedication that he puts into his training..........I wouldn't
bet against him in future races!!
