East Coast National results!! (April 19-21st, 2002)
Cory's first NBL National is over and he's exhausted (not to mention the webmaster too)! There were some fast lit'l rockets in the 6 Rookie Class from all over the U.S. and Canada this past weekend and dude had his work cut out for him. He made his main on Saturday with three straight 3rd place finishes and placed 4th overall in Saturday's main. Sunday was a bit of the same as he ran 3rd again in all three motos but had to settle for a 6th place in Sunday's main. Cory proved he has what it takes to hang with the national dudes, and he'll be back and he'll be faster!! On top of a great weekend at the national for Cory, he also got to meet Jerry Landrum from bmxmania.com and got to chill with other rad bmxmania factory riders such as Jeff Lamb and Karine Chambonneau. (Welcome to the USA Karine!) Well, the lit'l "powerhouse" gets a relaxed weekend close to home this weekend before heading to Mullica Hill for the next Northeast Regional Race on May 4th and 5th! So until next week...........keep the rubber on the track!

NJ coalition of National Safe Kids campaign to bring road show to Mullica Hill BMX for Northeast Regional Race on May 4th!!!
(April 15, 2002)
May 4th is a date that will see the NBL's Northeast Regional series invade Mullica Hill BMX, and it is also the start of the National SafeKids Campaign's Safe Kids Week. So it was a no-brainer for the two to combine forces. The 2002 theme for Safe Kids Week is "Use your head, wear a helmet!" and what a better message to get out to the hundreds of X-treme sporters that will be on hand on May 4th. "Helmet safety goes beyond the race track to wherever kids ride bikes, skateboards, scooters or anything with wheels" says Valerie Chapman of Cooper Hospital and a Safekids representative. "We're hoping to provide useful information to the kids and their parents that will help protect children all year long." Join us on May 4th for the Northeast Regional Race and help kick off Safe Kids Week. There may be t-shirt tosses and helmet give-aways too! Stay tuned for updated info as we get closer to May 4th!

After a "perfect" at Egg Harbor's State Qualifier, the lit'l "powerhouse" from Hamilton NJ is primed and ready for the NBL's East Coast National invading Egg Harbor April 19th through the 21st. Look for Cory under the EVS tent. See Ya On the Track!!

State Qualifier #1 in the record books and Cory's stoked!!
(April 13, 2002)
The first NJ State Qualifier of 2002 is in the record books and Cory is stoked with his results. In his quest for the 2002 State Championship, Cory started off with a bang by posting wins in all three motos on Saturday. The first State Qualifier for Cory was a "perfect" and he now sets his sights on the East Coast National at Egg Harbor on April 20th and 21st. Cousin Erik had a wild day also placing 2nd in one moto and 3rd in the other two within the 17 and Over Rookie class for a 3rd place over-all on the day. Cousin Erik was sportin' new gear and lookin' mighty racey. Look for them both at the East Coast National next weekend! See ya there!

NJ Tracks Open With Huge Success on Opening Weekend!
(April 6 & 7, 2002)
Opening Day weekend was a huge success around the NJ area with all tracks posting major rider turn out. Cory himself had a very successful weekend by posting two 1st place wins in two races! Let's start with the all new, all rad, Hunterdon BMX on Saturday April 6th. The gang did an awesome job getting the track ready for opening day! The new, last straight was "dusted" and in race-ready condition. Cory's first moto at Hunterdon had him lead the entire moto until the last 20 feet. At this point, he suddenly stopped and was passed for first place by Paul Filippone who was hot on his tail, earning Cory 2nd place in round 1. Round 2 and 3 were all Cory as he won those motos and earned a 1st Place on the day. TO JOHN ANDERSON AND THE GANG AT HUNTERDON......GREAT JOB GETTING THE TRACK READY FOR OPENING DAY! Saturday evening had Egg Harbor BMX hosting a benefit race for Jennifer Gugger. We understand that there were over 30 motos and the temps were cold, but a great turn-out for a great cause! Cory did not race the Egg Harbor race due to time constraints. Sunday was Central Jersey's Opening Day and what a turn-out here too. Again, over 30 motos posted with even a few mains! Our website, coryhouse.com, sponsored 4 hole-shot awards. Congratulations to Jonathan Brida on winning the 12 Rookie award, Tommy Gillis on winning the 5 & under award, and to Jonathan Cravotta and Reese Roberts for winning the 8 Rookie awards. (This was one of the classes with a main, so there were two motos each round for the 8 Rookies and hence, two awards.) Cory was "perfect" on the day winning all three motos and priming himself for State Qualifier #1 in Egg Harbor on April 13th. As for Mullica Hill's opening day also on Sunday, at the time this update was written, we had no information about their Opening Day. Anyone out there that can provide some basic info about how the day went, email me at cory@coryhouse.com. 'till next week..........
